This is my mandala. I am not artistic or creative, so although it doesn’t flow very well together, I think that everything on my mandala describes me very well. First, in the upper corner I have the word Family with a cross and some hearts. I love my family and I don’t know what I would do without them. I also drew a cross because I strongly believe in my faith. Without it, I don’t know how I could make it through the day. I have some music notes on top because I love music and I played the flute for many years. I have the word Running drawn in the upper corner because although I do not like running, I like the way it makes me feel and I do it very often. In the bottom left corner i drew the German Flag and the Italian Horn to represent my heritage. I drew the German Flag bigger than the Italian Horn because I am much more German than I am Italian. Finally in the bottom right corner, I drew a tree with a recycling symbol. I am very committed to recycling and and I believe in “going green” and helping the environment.
I also drew a tree to represent my life. In my opinion, everyone can relate their life to a tree. We all start out as little trees, innocent to the world around us and ready to grow. Through the years, we gain life experiences which help shape the person we are becoming, just as a tree’s trunk and leaves change through the years. Finally, the experiences we have are kept in our memories forever, much as a tree’s rings hold its past.

Shelby, I love how you said that they don’t flow together, but it doesn’t matter because I think they describe me very well. It shows me that you are a very confident and proud individual, and I respect that.
